Their professional oriented line of tools are the M12 Fuel and M18 Fuel. *Milwaukee has their new M12 and M18 tools which are their consumer oriented line. The XRP tools are the older NiCad battery dominated tools which I believe have stopped production but the remaining stock are still being sold while the XR tools are the newer lithium battery dominated tools. *Dewalt has their regular tools and then has certain XR or XRP tools which are the professional line of tools.

I have made a living through college doing some construction and doing a lot of landscaping/arboreal work and that drill has helped me countless times. I have built decks, drilled through concrete, built arbors, constructed sheds, and have used it countless times in all 7 of the houses/apartments I have lived in. And over the past 10 years it has exceeded my expectations. I was a bit dubious since it was reconditioned but I did a whole bunch of research on drills at the time and I found this one to be quite strong and supposed to be tough.
